Frequently Asked Questions
How can I get involved in volunteering?
Simply register on the OnSinch platform once it is launched, or send us an email. We’ll help you find an activity that matches your interests and makes sense for you.
Do I need any previous experience?
Not at all. Volunteering is open to everyone – what matters most is the willingness to help. Some organisations will provide training, while others will teach you everything you need to know as you go.
How much time will it take?
That’s entirely up to you. Some activities are one-off opportunities, such as helping at an event, while others are long-term. When you register, you can choose how much time you would like to dedicate to volunteering.
Will I receive confirmation of my volunteer work?
Yes! Every volunteer receives confirmation of their participation and the skills they have gained. At some faculties, volunteering may also be recognised as part of your studies.
Can I volunteer outside the University too?
Absolutely. We work with a wide range of non-profit organisations, schools, hospitals and community initiatives across the region. You can choose an opportunity based on your interests.
What if I don’t know where to start?
Get in touch with our student ambassadors. They’ll help you find the right opportunity based on your interests and availability. You can find them in the Volunteer Centre Team section.
